Colorado Custom Elevator & Lift Inc. is looking to hire a compliance cooordinator as part of our rapidly growing company. We are a local, family owned and operated, full service Elevator Company specializing in installations, both commercial and residential, maintenance and service on existing equipment, as well as modernization and repairs. This opportunity, working as a part of the service, installation and modernization departments will provide many elements for the right individual to utilize their strengths and experience.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Managing individual customer accounts in regards to inspections, violations and open permits
  • Accurately reviewing open items with customers and providing a thorough plan for resolution
  • Preparing proposals for inspections and violation removal as well as permit related work
  • Coordinating inspections with witnessing companies and scheduling with the customer
  • Create and maintain inspector’s schedules
  • Entering requirements into software program and logging in completed inspections
  • Submitting violation corrections and penalty payments to corresponding AHJ
  • Navigating the state portal to determine customers jurisdictions
  • Reaching out to individual jurisdictions to obtain inspection and permit requirements and accurately maintaining the information
  • Prepare and submit permit applications to AHJ for installations, modernizations, repairs and removals
  • Tracking open permits, scheduling with AHJ when necessary for inspection, renewing permits before expiration, and submitting documents as part of permit close out
  • Managing jurisdictional licensing for the company as well as individual licenses and certifications for our inspectors and technicians, which includes obtaining requirements from organizations, preparing and submitting applications, and the renewal process
  • Driving to various Municipalities to pick up/drop off documents
  • Perform all aspects of Compliance Coordinator responsibilities and other related tasks as the Company deems necessary and/or assigns

 Qualifications / Required Skills

  • Previous employment in the service industry is a must. We want to see experience in a related field working for a company who provides full service – you must be familiar with a similar or comparable environment
  • Looking for someone who is intuitive and a quick learner, displays confidence and a positive attitude, and is courteous towards others
  • Candidate must be organized and detail oriented, possess prioritizing skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the significance of customer service and satisfaction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently through self-motivation, as well as being a collaborative team player
  • Ability to work and communicate efficiently with all levels of colleagues, clients and other external contacts
  • Must be well spoken and exemplify exceptional writing and proofreading skills
  • History of listening and accurately responding to customers’ needs and concerns, with a strong follow up ability
  • Need to be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, execute quickly, follow up and prioritize
  • Clean/valid driver’s license
