Service Technician
Colorado Custom Elevator & Lift Inc. is looking to hire an elevator mechanic to become a part of our rapidly growing company. We are a local, family owned and operated, full-service Elevator Company specializing in installations, both commercial and residential, maintenance and service on existing equipment, as well as modernization and repairs. Job Summary
The Elevator Field Service Technician is to carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishment, and installations in a cost efficient and profitable manner, while achieving high workmanship quality and safety standards.
The Elevator Field Service Technician will work closely with other service technicians and customers, and report directly to a Service/Installation Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inspection, Maintenance, Repair, and Installation of all makes and models elevator equipment.
- Mechanical, electrical, electromechanical troubleshooting
- Documenting service tasks, labor, and expenses in computerized system
- Interact with customers and vendors as needed
- Follow all safety policies, company policies, and use all required PPE
- Other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory strongly desired
- Able to read and interpret technical documentation
- Experience with Microsoft Office products desirable
- Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to travel for extended periods of time
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must have current valid US Driver’s License
- Must be insurable through our company auto insurance policy
- Valid Type 1 conveyance mechanics license or have the necessary qualifications to obtain
- Must be able to pass relevant: background check, motor vehicle report, physical and drug/alcohol tests
- Must be able to work at extreme heights
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a similar field strongly desired
- Licensed Elevator Mechanics strongly required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors, in all seasons
- Must be able to work at extreme heights
- Must be able to work in enclosed spaces
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to drive for extended periods of time
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
- Must be able to visually inspect equipment
Compensation & Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $27.00 – $40.00 per hour

Entry Level Elevator Mechanics helper

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain work site in accordance with industry safety practices
- Maintain tools and equipment on sites or in service vehicles
- Assist mechanics with daily tasks
- Maintain inventory and supplies on site or in service vehicle to perform all work
- Keep job site(s) and/or service vehicle(s) clean and organized
- Complete CET Training program and continuing education courses
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Ability to travel weekly Mon–Fri
- Clean/valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 Course/Training completion
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and carry 75+ pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, job superintendents, supervisors, and office staff — including thorough knowledge of all elevator component terms
- Reliable and punctual
- High School Diploma
- Current State of Colorado Driver’s License
Compensation
- Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience
- Certified Elevator Technician 4-year training course offered
- Graded pay scale associated with CET training program
- Per diem
